Dr JACOB ALEXANDER
Dr. Jacob
Alexander graduated from the College of Veterinary & Animal
Sciences in 1993 and subsequently completed his postgraduate MVSc
degree in Pathology from the Centre of Excellence in Pathology, Mannuthy, Kerala. Since his graduation he joined the Animal Husbandry Department of the Government of Kerala and has been in large and small animal practice in different districts of this state. In 1997 he joined the Institute
of Animal Health and Veterinary Biologicals, Palode. He was
instrumental in starting an R&D wing for the development of cell
culture vaccines and biologicals. He has presented his research papers
in national and international conferences. Dr.Jacob is currently
working in the Clinical Laboratory of the District Veterinary Centre,
Thiruvananthapuram and is the District Laboratory Officer of the Animal
Disease Control Project of the district. He is currently focused upon
the implementation of Tele-pathology. He has a decent digital repository of hundreds of post mortem and clinical investigations including wild and zoo animals. He is a member of many professional organizations including The Indian Association of Veterinary Pathologists.
